Iowa State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences students were invited to an evening Ag Entrepreneurs Round Table event on October 9th, 2012 that showcased six successful agricultural entrepreneurs from across Iowa. We had a record number of students participate in this Fall’s event with over 70 in attendance! The event was sponsored by the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative and Keith & Ginny Smith.
The Ag Entrepreneurs Round Table events bring together successful agricultural entrepreneurs with students from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The night consisted of a keynote speaker and a series of rotating round table discussions in an informal setting allowing students the opportunity to talk candidly with entrepreneurs about their entrepreneurial journey.
The keynote speaker for the evening was Keith Kerkhoff, co-founder and master distiller for Templeton Rye Spirits, LLC. Keith was also joined by Templeton’s Iowa Brand Ambassador, Andrew Tomes. Other entrepreneurs who participated included Bill Rohlfsen – Moss Buster, Craig Mouchka – Growers Edge, Tom Buman – Agren, Drew Ryder – FEEDLOGIC Corp. and Michael Koenig & Stuart McCulloh – ScoutPro, LLC.
